    Cabinet approves air transport agreement with Tunisia


    The Cabinet held its weekly regular meeting in Baghdad on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi.

    The Cabinet discussed the conduct of the recent elections, and reviewed measures to ensure that the integrity of the electoral process in Iraq is protected.

    The Cabinet also discussed public services, and infrastructure projects across Iraq.

    The Cabinet approved an air transport agreement with Tunisia as part of the government strategy to expand Iraq’s regional and global air connectivity.

    The Cabinet approved Iraq’s accession to the International Convention on Salvage 1989 and to the Safety and health in Agriculture Convention, 2001 (No.184).

    The Cabinet also reviewed ongoing maintenance work on the Mosul Dam, measures to ease congestion at Um Qasr container port in Basra, and reviewed strategies to support the private sector in liberated areas.
